Whenever I head up into the alpine, I scan the landscape for green and silver leaves, shimmering in the wind. And I strain my ears to pick out the soft rustling of nature’s wind chimes. Like the aspen tree, this cowl has a simple beauty that’s sure to make you smile.

Yarn – 190-400 yards/174-366 meters fingering-weight or sport-weight yarn. Shown in Knitted Wit Silky Merino (50% merino, 50% silk; 400 yards/366 meters per 4 ounce/113 gram skein), colorway Cedar (Short) and Golden Delicious (Long).
Gauge - 22 stitches = 4”/10 cm in stockinette stitch. Measured after blocking.
Needles - US #5/3.75 mm or size to get gauge.
Notions - Tapestry needle.
Skill level - Advanced beginner (lace, intricate motif).
