Queenslander is a scrappy toe-up sock inspired by the lace trims of traditional Queenslander houses. It is knit toe-up using magic loop, with a standard short row heel and a 1x1 ribbed cuff.

Sizes: Small (Medium, Large). Sample shown in size medium.
Finished Measurements: Foot circumference: 7(8, 9) inches / 18 (20, 23) cm

Gauge: 34 sts = 4“/ 10cm in stockinette stitch. If using yarns from various brands, gauge may vary from stripe to stripe.
A note on sizing: Colorwork socks tend to not have any stretch, so it’s crucial that the sock be wide enough for your heel to pass through. If you knit colorwork tightly, you may want to consider knitting the circumference a bit larger than you are used to. If you’d like, you can simply add 4 stitches to your usual stitch count, as the colorwork chart is a repeat of 4 st.

Needles : US 1/ 2.25mm (or size required to achieve gauge) 32” circulars for magic loop

Yarn: Fingering weight yarns in various high-contrast colors for a total of up 435 yards /400 meters. Sample shown used 83g, approximately 330 yards for size medium.
