This is a very simple and practical (am I always practical? perhaps!) crochet pattern to keep those darn bugs out of my coffee!

I thought perhaps you would like to keep them out of your coffee too so here is a fast fix - took maybe 20 minutes - and now I can drink my coffee (or cold beverages) outside on my deck without the icky bugs popping by for a bath, or taste test!

If you leave a small hole in the center instead of tightening the beginning stitches completely you can also easily fit a straw through and leave the cover on your drink and use the straw :)

The beads provide weight to keep the cover from blowing off the glass or mug. You can use whichever beads or weights you have on hand - metal washers will even work if you are in a bind.

This also has the added bonus of keeping my coffee hot longer - not my intention but it works great!
