Quicksand
This one will suck you in fast! LOL! Knit from the top down, the increases form a graceful, swirly, almost a circle shawl. The shawl ends with a knit on edging that is bound off as you go. Three options are offered in the pattern. A single color or long color run in shadow stitch (36” neckline x 14” deep), a striped version in shadow stitch, and a garter stitch version in two colors with the border worked in a third color. Can be knit in any weight of yarn by changing the needle size to suit the yarn. A fast and fun knit that you will want to make over and over again!
In worsted weight, I would recommend:
475 yards for a one color version,
240 yards each of two colors for a two color version, and
200 yards each of two colors for body and 75 yard for border in a third color.
For a larger shawl or a lighter weight yarn you will need more yardage.
