Quietest Moments Socks are knitted with a lace pattern on the leg and instep. The stretchy lace patterns produce a comfortably fitting sock. The instructions include information on how to adjust the heel flap to give a good fit at the heel and therefore adjust the gusset. This allows adaption for a high instep or to increased ease to prevent constriction.

The socks are knitted from the cuff down, starting with a short garter stitch section which flows into the main Quietest Moments lace pattern. Although the lace pattern involves patterning on every round, columns of reverse stocking stitch assist in keeping the patterning correct and when checking stitch counts are correct for pattern repeats.

The heel flap is worked using the Eye of Partridge slip stitch pattern.

The sock pattern includes both charts and written instructions for the lace. Instructions for construction, including the slip-stitch heel are written.

Sizes include Adult Small, Medium, Large and Extrra Large.
Adult sizes to fit 19(22½:26:30)cm / 7½(9:10½:12)in mid-foot circumference. Leg length 10cm / 4in. Foot length adjustable to fit.

240(305:375:450) yards 4 ply sock yarn to knit socks to fit women’s UK7 / US9½ / EU41 length feet. Additional yarn will be needed for larger shoe sizes.
