This bag is part of my exploration of traditional quilt blocks done in knitting. The starting point was log cabin knitting, but now I’m looking at other block patterns.

You can use any feltable wool for this bag. It used just over 1 ball of the main colour, and less than one ball of the other three colours.

This pattern is 12 pages long because it contains detailed instructions for techniques such as three-needle bind-off and picking up stitches. There are charts for some sections of the design.
