Quincy Pullover
The Quincy Pullover is a comfortable tunic-length pullover with an elegant combination of cables and textured stitches that mimics an argyle pattern. This pullover is worked in the round from the bottom up and uses short-rows to lower the back hem.
Difficulty Intermediate
Finished Size 34 (37.25, 41.5, 44.75, 48.75, 52.25, 55.25, 59.5)“ bust circumference. Pullover shown measures 34”; modeled with 2” of positive ease.
Yarn Cascade Yarns Longwood (100% superwash extrafine Merino wool; 191 yd / 3.5 oz): #49 English ivy, 7 (7, 8, 9, 10, 10, 11, 11) balls.
Needles Sizes 6 (4 mm) and 7 (4.5 mm): 16” and 32” circular and set of double-pointed. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions Markers; cable needle; stitch holder; tapestry needle.
Gauge 19 sts and 27 rows = 4” in St st on larger needle; 26 sts of Argyle chart = 4.5” wide.
Notes The body of this pullover is worked in the round to the underarm, then the front and back are worked separately back and forth. Stitches for the sleeves are picked up around the armhole and the sleeves are worked in the round from the top down.
