Intermediate difficulty: Uses front and back post stitches, if you can do these you should be right.

This is a lovely textured hat that can be created in a beanie or a slouchy style. It is suitable for both males and females. You can make as many different coloured stripes as you want which makes it ideal for using up those scraps of yarn you insist on keeping in your stash!

The pattern is written for dk/8ply yarn but in the pattern there are instructions that enable you to create the hat using any weight yarn you like.

This pattern is available in both US and UK/Aus terminology and it has been tested thoroughly by the wonderful testers in the Free Pattern Testers group.

The gauge for this hat is: 3 pattern repeats (diamond shapes) over 10cm with Dk/8ply yarn and a 4.5mm/G hook.
