Raging Reds
“Raging Reds is a women’s belted ruana with I-cord edging. We used one multicolored hand-dyed yarn along with a solid-colored yarn (not hand dyed) to show you how effectively you can use solid yarn in a garment as a background for the more glamorous hand-dyed yarn. To create depth, we used the linen stitch for the ruana, and as usual, changed skeins of the hand-dyed yarn ever two rows.”
NOTE: Choose a size approximately 4” smaller than your normal finished measurement; otherwise, the ruana will be too large at the shoulders, creating unwanted “wings.”
