Notes:
This beanie starts with a doubled brim, then is worked in a simple Assigned Pooling pattern for the crown. The doubled brim requires a provisional cast-on. Feel free to use a method of your choice, but here is a video link for a provisional cast-on method from Brooklyn Tweed https:// www.youtube.com/watch?v=G0NjkGQofBQ.

Assigned Pooling means that your stitch pattern is dependent on the color change in your yarn. As such, yarn choice can significantly impact the outcome of your beanie. Ideal Assigned Pooling yarns should have about 1⁄4 of the skein dyed in a separate, high-contrast color from the rest. This contrast color is your Pooling Color.
