Our Rainbow Beanie is a contemporary beanie for babies, toddlers and children complete with sweet rainbow detailing.

Based on one of our best selling ready-made beanies from our AW18 collection Look Up; inspired by the childlike ability to look up and see the beauty around that we so often miss as grown ups, whether it’s a rainbow, the moon in the daytime of a funny shaped cloud!

This is a quick and easy make, knit in the round from bottom to top. The shape is contemporary with a pointed wide top, created by shaping each side to a wide point and then simply grafting together the top using Kitchener Stitch, as you would for the toe of a sock.

The rainbow is worked using chain stitch embroidery and requires approximately 30” / 77cm per colour. Perfect for stash busting! The pattern contains a link to our video tutorial for chain stitch embroidery on knitting.
