“Rainbow Dreams” is a playful, flirty and sassy crop top. Wear it as a short crop top, a blouse, a bralette, a tube top or even as a long top. The choice is entirely up to you on how you make and use it.

This chevron pattern top is meant to be made in various colors to bring out the fun aspect of this top. So, it should be a perfect project to use up all those yarn scraps. I did that with the top that I made for myself and made it into a boho style top.

The colors makes the design pop and suitable to be worn as casual wear. Make it in a single color, a bit longer and you can even wear it even as a formal wear.

I made this same design in 2003 and had sold the top to one of my fashion designer friend in New York. Believe me, I hadn’t even written the pattern or any notes for this. It’s been 19 years and the design was just stored in my jumbled up, nifty mind, lol.

This is a really simple and easy design. Even beginners can make it as I’ve provided step-by-step photo tutorial as well into this pattern. So, it should be easy to use pattern for everyone.

This top pattern can be made in sizes ranging form extra small up to plus sizes up to 8XL. I have mentioned the bust measurements in inches as well. So it should be easy for you to choose which size of top you would like to make.

You can use any Fingering weight yarn for making this top. You will need approximately 500- 1200 yards ( depending on which size of top you are going to make).

1) Designs By Mamta Cotton 1(100% Cotton; 104 yds95m/1.76 oz 50g; CYCA # 1): #Crimson(J), 1 skein.

2) DMC Senso Coton Microfiber (60% Cotton, 40% Acrylic; 150 yds137m/1.52 oz 43 g; CYCA # 1): #1116 Lilac(A), #1115 Aqua(E), #1102 Old Gold(G), #1106 Dark Autumn Gold(I), #1114 Coral(L), #1105N Pink(M); 1 ball each.

3) Katia Cotton Stretch(87% Cotton, 13% Polyester; 186 yds170m/1.76 oz 50 g; CYCA # 1): #21 Night Blue(C), #17 Yellow(F), #16 Orange(H), #15 Fuchsia(K), #2 Black(O), #6 Beige(N); 1 ball each.

4) Mondial Giza 5(100% Egyptian Cotton; 180 yds165m/1.76 oz 50g; CYCA # 1): #75 Blue(D), 1 ball.

Nazli Gelin Garden 3(100% Egyptian Cotton; 136 yds124m/1.76 oz 50g; CYCA # 0): #300-01 White(B), 1ball.

Crochet Hook Size:
3mm crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge.
