The rainbow tiles blanket was designed with creating happiness in mind ✨️ A rainbow always cheers me up with its beautiful colours, so I hoped that this blanket pattern could do the same for others.

It is constructed in squares which are then joined using a braid join to create a beautiful blanket full of rainbows. There are options to finish the blanket with a wide lacy border, or a thinner, simpler border. You can make a baby blanket with as few as 9 squares or a full bed throw with a great many more squares! Gauge is not important, so no switching required for this one.

As for yarn, the choice is down to the makers preference. I made 3, one in sport weight, dk and aran, all this does is change the size of your square! I also loved using a variegated yarn for this blanket, which definitely helped with reducing the number or ends to sew on
