Inspired by rainy winter afternoons and a very popular type of embroidery used in South America called vagonite, the cowl is knitted in the round in one piece, and then, folded and sewed into two loops, to create a very warm and versatile piece. You can wear it as a cowl, a cowl-hoodie, a shawlette, or for a neck-hugging look, wrap the bigger loop around the neck and voilá!

CONSTRUCTION
The cowl is knitted in the round alternating knits and purls and the right and wrong sides are worked on the same side. The edges are knitted in a circular double-knit stitch, with seamless cast-on and cast-off techniques. After finishing the main body, the purls stitches are used as a guide to embroider the piece, using a technique called vagonite. The cowl is then folded and sewed into shape, forming two loops.
