I like thunderstorms and rain. Rainy days are the best. These colors came from my favorite rainy days: orange sunlight peeking through the bluish gray thundering clouds.

It’s a great scarf to work on while watching tv during thunderstorms or little showers. Or for any other time you like to knit, too.

This scarf has a unique shape due to the short row shaping on the sides and in the center. It is worked from one long end to the other, beginning with the Cascade Heritage Silk and adding in strips of color with each of the Malabrigo Lace colors held double. There are small wedges, pinstripes, and wedges that give the scarf its crescent shape at the very end—a little something for keeping you interested while knitting during thunderstorms!

Pick your favorite color as a main color to anchor it all down and add three more complementary or contrasting colors (or even a color-changing yarn, like Noro or Mini Mochi).
