The Raleigh Brin hat features a combination of large cables that travel from the rib brim to the top center. It is the perfect hat for all the men in your life as the pattern includes both a child and adult size. Knitted out of one skein of Anzula For Better or Worsted, the hat is a wonderful treat for the knitter to make and the lucky recipient to wear.

Pattern is provided in written and charted forms so that the knitter can use their preferred method of reading the pattern.

Yardage:
180 yards/164.5 meters for child size; 200 yards/183 meters for adult size of worsted weight yarn

Samples knit out of Anzula For Better or Worsted in Elephant and Mariana (200 yards/183 meters; 80% merino, 10% cashmere, 10% nylon)

If you wish to make a deeper adult size hat, you WILL need two skeins of yarn. If your gauge is tighter than given, you will also need two skeins of yarn for the adult size. As written per gauge, the adult size uses all but approximately eight yards of one skein. Hats shown were made out of one skein.

Gauge:
20 sts / 28 rounds over St st = 4 inches, unblocked on larger needles
30 sts / 30 rounds over 2 x 2 rib = 4 inches, unblocked and unstretched on smaller needles
30 sts / 34 rounds over pattern = 4 inches, unblocked and slightly stretched on larger needles
