Through the 20 years that Claire spent back in her own time raising Brianna, fashion changed drastically and I loved seeing that shift in the show as the years went by. When Brianna was digging up information on her real roots with Roger and confronting her mother about her lies, she wore a beautiful colorwork sweater that really spoke to me. It was a motif that I could see fitting well in my wardrobe today.

This sweater is knit top-down in the round with a colorwork motif throughout the yoke that continues into the body and sleeves. The remainder of the body and sleeves are knit in stockinette stitch with a ribbed hem.

When substituting this yarn, a plied yarn of animal fiber in colors with high contrast will be best for achieving similar colorwork. Unless it is a small percentage in the yarn, avoid slipperier animal fibers such as alpaca and yak to achieve a similar drape to the yarn used in the sample.
