This stylish, yet classic, cardigan features soft ruffles at the hem and cuffs - so “in” this year. Classic cable styling on the front adds additional interest. All edges are finished in an i-cord bind off to give the cardigan a polished look. The i-cord also forms the buttonholes for a clever design element.

The cardigan starts with a provisional cast on using a spare cable or circular needle. Once the ruffle is complete, the cardigan is worked from the bottom up. Sleeves are worked top down using short rows to form the sleeve cap. There is very little finishing.

Designed in black (hence the name “Ravenette”) at the request of the recipient - this sweater would be darling in a wide range of colors. Any sock or fingering yarn will work, Angelic was used for it’s softness and washability.
