SKILL LEVEL:
Adventurous Beginner to Intermediate: This pattern is for those who feel comfortable with crocheting and have made a few projects, using various skills and techniques. Stitches and skills include double crochet, carrying yarn up the side, and slip stitching panels together.
Notes From the Designer:
Rayas is a flowy, lightweight duster that is worked in three simple panels. The stripes are created by carrying yarn up the side to minimize having a lot of ends to weave in. The pattern is done in a series of chains and double crochet stitches, with two continuously repeating rows, making it perfect for a beginner. The color sequences of the front panels are designed to match up with the color sequences of the back panel, so it looks like one continuous piece.
- Click here to watch a video on how to cast on and crochet the rows included in this pattern.
- Starting chain for each row does not count as a stitch.
- Adjusting the starting fdc or chain will adjust the top-down length. Adding or removing rows will adjust the width around the bust.
- The duster is designed to be worn open and does not close in the front.
- The starting fdc can be adjusted with a multiple of 5 + 4. The starting chain can be adjusted with a multiple of 5 + 4 + 2.
