This pattern is extremely versatile ~ With one pattern, you can knit either a pullover or a cardigan, either with a rounded neck or a v-shape neck.

Additionally, instructions are provided for a 3/4 length or a full length sleeve.

How is it constructed? ~ The garment is knit from the top down, using a contiguous method.
The pattern has a simple lace pattern that can be inserted in different locations on the garment.

What yarn? ~ Fingering Yarn
It does not matter if you use 100% wool or merino yarn, a mix yarn or 100% cotton or linen yarn or a mix cotton or mix linen yarn. The only thing that you need to be aware of is that plant fiber yarns often have a looser row gauge than animal fiber yarns. Therefore it is important to knit a good gauge swatch to check the gauge.

Yarn Quantity needed: approx. 1100 (1200, 1250, 1350, 1450)(1550, 1650, 1700) yds/ 1005 (1100, 1150, 1240, 1325) (1420, 1510, 1550) m yardage is given for 3/4 length sleeves, for full-length sleeves add 100 yds/90 m & for cardigan add 40 yds/35 m for the button bands.

Sizes: XS (S, M, L1, L2)(XL, 2XL, 3XL) to fit sizes 34 (36, 38, 40, 42)(44, 48, 52)” or 86 (91.5, 96.5, 102, 107)(112, 122, 132) cm circumference bust.

Gauge: 24 sts & 36 rows = 4” blocked in stockinette stitch on larger sized needles (approx. 25 sts & 38 rows = 4” unblocked)

Needles: U.S. 4 (3.5 mm) circular needles - 16” & 32” in length always use the size needle that gets gauge!
U.S. 3 (3.25 mm) circular needles - 16” & 32” in length ?
U.S. 0 (2 mm) circular needle - 24” or 32” in length - used to pick up & knit stitches

Notions: stitch markers, scrap yarn & spare circular needles to hold stitches, tapestry needle, crochet hook (depending on which provisional cast on method is used); for cardigan 9 – 11 small buttons

~ Fingering- bzw.
