“A bit of grin and bear it, a bit of come and share it
You’re welcome, we can spare it - yellow socks
Too short to be haughty, too nutty to be naughty
Going on 40 - no electric shocks”

Ian Dury and the Blockheads - Reasons to be Cheerful (Part 3)

Unisex socks worked from the toe-upwards in an easy to memorise stitch pattern using just knit and purl stitches. Garter stitch short-row heels and toes add to the overall texture of this super stretchy and well-fitting pattern written in 5 sizes.

Designed to fit the foot at widest point up to: 20.5 (23:25.5:28:30.5)cm / 8 (9:10:11:12)in
Note: Model is wearing size S, her foot width is 23cm at the widest point and there is zero ease. If you would like more stretch in your sock then knit the next size up.

Stitch pattern is both charted and written in full.

Techniques used include provisional cast-on and garter stitch short rows. Instructions and links to tutorials are included.
