Rechel is worked from the bottom up using a varying combination of increases to achieve asymmetry. The shawl is light, airy, and the perfect size and shape to stay on your shoulders. An endless combination of color choices allows you to be as bold or as reserved as you like.

Finished Measurements: (Top edge x top edge to off-center lower point) Approximately 80” x 23” (203 cm x 58 cm)

Yarn: 875 yards/800 m of fingering weight yarn. Shown using Neighborhood Fiber Co. Studio Sock (400 yd/114 g skein); 100% Merino. 750 yds/686 m for Color A (Druid Hill) and 125 yds/114 m for color B (Federal Hill).

Gauge: 16 sts/36 rows = 4”/10 cm in garter after blocking. Gauge is not critical for this project, but will affect the finished size and yardage.

Needles: US#6/4.0 mm 32”/80 cm circular needle, or size needed to obtain gauge.

Notions: 1 safety pin or removable stitch marker and a tapestry needle.
