Recovery
When the long winter roars the loudest, kick back with fresh stitches in the quick knit Recovery moebius. Recovery cowl is a multi-designer collaboration celebrating wellness through stitching! Recovery resulted as a bulky yarn loving spin-off from String Theory Moebius. My dear teacher and co-indie designer found herself in recovery from surgery. Having devoured String Theory Moebius, she wanted more! Picking her favorite bulky weight yarn, Recovery, my first design for eco wool, is the result.
The tech edited and test knit easy level pattern is fully written.

Special Notes:
- Collab It: Recovery resulted from a collaboration of wellness through stitching! When Puddles, my Great Dane, was very sick, I designed a series of “brainless” knits with some interesting details. My teacher and co-indie, Jill, knit one during her surgery recovery and loved it so much she longed for more. She asked me to create a design that featured the same recovery-friendly ease of stitching with a “wow” result. She wasn’t keen on knitting anything plain. Jill selected two beautiful skeins from Freia - a bulky weight wool yarn. Those of you who know me, know I’m animal-fiber free due to allergies. Similar to medical recoveries when you rely upon aid from loved ones and paid professionals alike, so, too, with this design, I relied upon help from others. Never touching the yarn myself, I worked with Jill to create a “comfort pattern” during her recovery. Co-indie designer, Talitha Kuomi, beautifully modeled the design in a winter wonderland. And with Tina this design and beautiful yarn combo is shared with the world. Happy knitting! And if you’re longing for more, check out Jill’s “Super Collider” companion hat pattern (coming soon).
