Rectangle of Squares Wrap
The Rectangle of Squares Wrap, Scarf and Cowl are inspired by the fact that all squares are rectangles but not all rectangles are squares. The pattern pdf has instructions for all 3 accessories.
Main stitches used in this pattern: knit, purl.
The wrap is knitted flat in one piece, beginning and ending with a wide rib pattern. The first and last sections consist of multiple textured small squares. The centre section is knitted with large squares. Both sizes of square are knitted with alternating textures, creating a reversible stitch pattern.
The scarf (not shown in photos) is knitted flat in one piece, beginning and ending with a wide rib pattern. The first and last sections consist of multiple textured small squares. The centre section is knitted with alternating large and small squares.
The cowl is knitted flat in one piece, beginning with an optional provisional cast on, and it is knitted with alternating large and small squares. After knitting, the provisional stitches are placed onto a needle and cast off together with the live stitches using a three needle bind off. Alternatively stitches may be cast on using the cable cast on method. After knitting, the stitches are cast off and seamed to the cable cast on.
