I’ve been experimenting with different yarns to create a more attractive and affordable weighted blanket, and Paintbox Yarns RECYCLED TSHIRT has become one of the favorites from my stash. I love the added bonus that the yarn is made from recycled T-shirt fabric, so it’s also good for the environment. In the Striped Triple L Tweed Stitch, the pattern knits up heavier than a typical hand-knit blanket, and although not quite as heavy as some of the weighted blankets out there, it is visually more interesting. The striped pattern and nautical colors make me long for a beachside evening nap after some fun in the sun!
