Finished Size 31 1/2 (36, 40, 44 1/2, 48 1/2, 52)“ bust circumference, buttoned. Cardigan shown measures 36”, modeled with 3” of positive ease.
Yarn Malabrigo Yarn Rios (100% superwash merino; 210 yd 192 m/3 1/2 oz 100 g): #016 glazed carrot, 6 (6, 7, 8, 9, 9) skeins.
Needles Size 7 (4.5 mm): 16” and 32” circular (cir) and set of double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions Markers (m); stitch holders; tapestry needle; 10 (11, 11, 11, 11, 12) 5/8” buttons.
Gauge 17 sts and 25 rows = 4” in St st.
The reversible herringbone pattern creates a versatile collar in the Redfern Cardigan. Wear it buttoned up, with the collar styled as a cowl-neck, or unbuttoned, with the collar folding down over the shoulders. Whichever way it’s worn, the stylish doubled buttons on the collar show.
