Reeva Hat
by Lisa Shroyer
Seven colors may seem like a lot for a hat, but it’s the minimum number of colors Lisa Shroyer requires to get the depth and painterly effects she likes in stranded knitting. For this slouchy beret, Lisa chose a wildflower palette of bronze, hot pink, red, blue, white, and shades of brown. Careful color placement within her design creates a shimmer effect, and elegant crown shaping transforms the Moorish patterns of the body into a many-petaled flower! Decorative French knots are added after the knitting is finished, producing an interesting texture and lively focal points.
