Refraction Hat
I’ve been having a slight obsession with rainbows and mini skeins, on top of my already full blown passion for sock yarn, so when the idea for slipped stitch colorwork entered my mind I was delighted to follow it.
A pretty picot edge, or a simple purl fold, at the doubled hem starts the hat. From there an enjoyable striped pattern opens up to all the color possibilities you can imagine: Rainbow Brite inspired shades, soft pastels, duos or trios, perhaps a precious gradient set? You can go high impact or gently mannered; you might even want to knit a couple so you can go down more than one colorful path!
