While a woman without a hat is unimaginable in Regency society, many of the hat and bonnet shapes of the time, while intriguing to us, are not easily wearable in the twenty-first century. An exception is the Regency Riding Hat. Equestrienne costumes of the nineteenth century borrowed from men’s fashions, and the resulting blend of masculine and feminine was (and remains) dashing and visually bold… A fascinator size (not too tiny, just large enough to perch upon the crest of your temple) has been included for added potential and flirtation with multiple periods of history and fantasy.
