Reindeer Placemat and Table Runner
The Reindeer Place Mat and Table Runner pattern uses simple overlay mosaic crochet techniques with no special stitches and is suitable for the beginner in this technique.

The pattern includes
- Pattern notes, abbreviations and yarn usage stats
- Written stitch sequences
- Overlay mosaic crochet charts with keys
- Technical Annex including stitch formation and placement, hints and tips
Measurements
Sizing will depend on yarn type, hook and tension. But using Rico Design Creative Cotton Aran and a 4.5 mm hook, the placemat measure, approximately, 16.5” x 12” (excluding fringe).
The table runner will be 12” wide, but the length will be determined by the number of pattern repeats.
Yarn requirements
No yarn amounts are given for the table runner, as this is of a flexible size. However, with the above yarns, a placemat used, approximately:
- 115 m of white
- 45 m of light green
- 65 m of red
Individual Motifs
This pattern uses a slightly adaptation of the reindeer from the “Reindeer & Fir Motifs” pattern. It also includes a new narrow tree border.
