This is a handbook for creating small drawstring pouches based on the Relic pouches found in Chur/Sion in Switzerland. These relic purses are dated to the 13th century and are described in some detail in Rutt’s A History of HandKnitting. The handbook includes direction in selecting materials, choosing and implementing design elements, and creating your own design. There are also specific directions for creating a pouch from each of the charted designs. There are 8 color charts and a Bibliography with links to online resources.
