“This scarf was designed to match a hat I designed called “The Republic”. The pattern was inspired by an expensive hat featured on the Banana Republic website. The free hat pattern can be found here.

The scarf features the same wide “buttoned” garter stitch band as the hat. It is perfect for knitting while watching television (or when you’re busy talking to other knitters during “knit-night”) since it only uses garter and stockinette stitch.“
