Resilient Sweater
Pay What You Can: In an effort to find a balance between more financial accessibility and sustainable pricing, I now offer a “PWYC” model. This allows for financial flexibility while still valuing and respecting the work and energy I and others provide in the making of this pattern. The price shown on Ravelry is the “true” value of the pattern that best reflects the work put into creating this design.

Don’t let the purls fool you, this sweater is knit mostly inside out! ((Also I made this personally with 10 inches of ease, might be a bit too oversized for me, but wanted something super comfy. Select the ease for your own comfort))
This sweater is inspired by the deep somber winter of the prairies and the strong, resilient wheat that will grow and sway beautifully in the hot prairie summer. It’s been a tough year for all of us, and the resilient wheat can show us to bounce back from setbacks, even stronger than we were.
The prairie stitch is a wonderful showcase of the knitters skills without a lot of effort. The prairie stitch is based off dip stitches, which are easy to do but are visually striking. Knit this sweater in cool tones to resemble lavender, or warmer tones mimicking wheat.
The beauty of bottom up sweater knitting is working the sleeves first. You can use a sleeve as a gauge swatch, and less chance of getting stuck on sleeve island. Once both sleeves and body are desired length, join in the round and work rounds of easy raglan decreases, and that’s it, your finished!*
