Rest Your Bones Neck Roll
Part of what makes a modern quilt so special is how the unexpected is incorporated into the design. The Herringbone block, which is made of up straight lines and diagonals to create a pattern that resembles the bones of a herring fish, feels like a new design when a surprising color slices through it as shown here.
Materials
Quince & Co. Lark (100% wool; 134 yds / 123 m per 50g skein)
MC Egret; 2 skeins or 145 yards of worsted weight yarn
CC1 Fjord; 1 skein or 120 yards of worsted weight yarn
CC2 Winesap; 1 skein or 130 yards of worsted weight yarn
One 16 inch US#7 / 4.5 mm circular needle, or size needed to obtain correct gauge One set of 5 US#7 / 4.5 mm dpns, or size needed to obtain correct gauge
