Retiarius
The Spunky Eclectic Mammoth yarn is so amazing and squishy, I just had to make this extraordinary cowl out of it. Retiarius were net-fighters in the Colosseum of ancient Rome. I’m not saying this cowl will make you a warrior but it’s so warm and snuggly that it just might make you feel better prepared to tackle a cold blustery day.
This cowl works up insanely fast in this chunky yarn. Mammoth is a soft squishy Merino single that just is aching to wrap around you.
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: This cowl is a mesh so it’s measurement is fairly fluid. I recommend blocking it to 8 inches wide with a circumference of 54 inches.
GAUGE: 7 sts and 10 rows over 4 inches in the mesh pattern post blocking. Really this is such a flexible pattern that if you’re not getting gauge spot on, I wouldn’t worry.
FIT NOTES: This cowl is meant to be wrapped around your neck a couple of times or even 3 times if you want it super snug. It’s so warm even though there are holes all through it!
