Needles and notions
Gauge-size needle(s) of your preferred type for working small circumferences
3 stitch markers (plus 4 extra markers, if you wish to separate chart repeats)
Waste yarn (for holding thumb stitches)
Tapestry needle

Gauge
36 sts and 40 rounds to 10cm / 4in over 1x1 rib in the round. Use 2.5mm needle as a starting point for swatch-ing.

Special techniques
Bobble

Pattern notes
These mitts are worked from bottom to top. After a short section of 1x1 rib, the lace body is worked, following the chart. The thumb stitches are then purled, as the remainder of the hand continues to be worked from the chart. The mitt and thumb tops are finished with 1x1 rib.
