The conception of this design began with the stitch pattern in the center of the front and back. It is composed of eyelets and twisted-stitch ribbing, leading to gracefully curving leaf-shaped designs. I decided to replicate the curves of the leaves by adding an extra framing cable that curves along the princess seam lines. The yarn from Hazel Knits is a perfect complement to this pattern. Its rich golden tones highlight the twisted stitches, and the springy merino makes the ribs really pop. The yarn makes this V-neck pullover a showstopper for the fall.

The sweater is worked flat, bottom-up, with set-in sleeves. The pieces are sewn, and stitches are picked up around the neck and worked in the round to form the neckband.
