This twisted crochet cowl uses a reversible ribbed stitch pattern made with post stitches to create a stretchy cowl. Crocheted flat in a rectangle shape, it is twisted once to create the Möbius effect before joining along the short edges.

Materials:
This pattern is made with a discontinued yarn, Kollabora Chunky Hunk (50% alpaca/50% wool, 3.5 oz/100 g/140 yd/128 m). Substitute with approximately 140 yds (128 m) in another bulky weight wool/alpaca blend yarn, such as 2 skeins of Berroco Ultra Alpaca Chunky yarn (50% alpaca/50% wool, 3.5 oz/100 g/131 yd/120 m).
US Size M/9 mm crochet hook, or size needed to obtain gauge.
Yarn needle.
Gauge
14 sts in pattern = 4” (10 cm) across. Exact gauge is not critical for this project.
