Ribbonberry Mitts
Based on Back Loop Slip Stitch crochet, Ribbonberry is an amazingly versatile stitch pattern that can be used to make several types of projects. (So far I’ve made a cowl, mitts, and am working on a pair of leg warmers.)
A super-easy 4-row repeat is all it takes to create this beautifully textured crochet fabric with stretchy ribbing at each edge. You can make the ribbing as wide or narrow as you like, and add any amount of pattern motifs in between.
Ribbonberry works with any weight yarn. Swatching is strongly recommended to determine the best hook size for your yarn.
Pattern includes instructions for a nearly invisible slip stitch seam, with a (very) brief video demonstration.
The free pattern and Ribbonberry cowl phototutorial can also be found on my blog.
The blog post gives pointers and suggested proportions for making Ribbonberry mitts and leg warmers.
Thanks for viewing, and happy crocheting! :)
