Ridge Road Socks
These are named for the road where the dyer, Avalon Springs Farm, is located. The stitch pattern is easily memorized and good for yarns with variegation. It’s a good beginner sock!
Finished Size: S (M, L) 7” (8”, 9” around), unstretched
Yarn: Avalon Springs Farm Pendragon, 100% Superwash Merino Wool, 555 yards/4oz (Sample knit in Garden Wishes)
Needles: Set of 5 double-pointed needles or two circular needles size 1.5 US (2.5 mm), or size to obtain gauge
Gauge: 8 stitches per inch in stockinette, knit in the round.
Abbreviations:
K: Knit
P: Purl
Sl: Slip as if to purl with yarn in back if knitting on RS, with yarn in front if knitting on WS
PM: Place marker
SM: Slip marker
K2tog: Knit two together
P2tog: Purl two together
SSK: Slip as if to knit, slip next stitch as if to knit, knit these two stitches together
