DESCRIPTION
The RIKA hooded scarf is a super quick and fun knit. You need a cozy bulky-weight yarn and should know how to work knit and purl stitches as well as short rows. The construction is unique: you simply work the long shawl panel and then use short rows to shape the hood. Finish with some long scarf rows including the hood front ribbing. That’s it!

GAUGE
16 sts x 20 rows = 10 x 10 cm (4 x 4”) in stockinette stitch, blocked

Bulky weight or any yarn to obtain gauge
CaMaRose, Snefnug (bulky weight; 55% alpaca, 35% cotton, 10% merino wool; 110 m (119 yds) per 50 g, colorway 7343 bordeaux

Yardage may vary slightly depending on your knitting style and the yarn you are using! Always have a bit more in stock to be on the safe side.

NEEDLES
Circular needles in size 5–6 mm (US 8–10) or size to obtain gauge, with a length of 100 cm (40 inches)

BESCHREIBUNG
Der RIKA hooded scarf ist schnell gestrickt und macht richtig viel Spaß. Du brauchst ein kuschliges dickes Garn und solltest wissen, wie man rechte und linke Maschen sowie verkürzte Reihen strickt. Dieser Kapuzenschal hat eine einzigartige Konstruktion: Du strickst einfach den langen Schalabschnitt und formst dann mithilfe von verkürzten Reihen die Kapuze. Zum Abschluss kommen noch ein paar lange Schalreihen, inklusive Rippenbündchen an der vorderen Kapuzenkante. Das war’s!
