Rinconada Mitts
These snug fingerless mitts are worked in the round, the slipped stitches flowing smoothly from the garter cuff through the two-color stripes of the main portion. A cozy, satisfying quick knit, they have a shaped thumb gusset and are available in two sizes.
Measurements:
Small size: 6 1/2” / 16.5 cm circumference
(To fit hands measuring 6 1/2” — 7 1/2” / 16.5 cm - 19 cm around.)
Large size: 8” / 20 cm circumference
(To fit hands measuring 8” — 9”/ 20 cm - 23 cm around.)

175 total yards fingering weight yarn:
100 yards main color (MC)
75 yards contrast color (CC)
Yarn Shown:
Pagewood Farm St. Elias; 450 yds / 411 m per 4 oz / 113 g skein; 80% Bluefaced Leicester, 20% nylon; worked in Olive (MC) and Coffee (CC)
Needles:
Set of 4 size US 2 / 2.75 mm DPNs, or size needed to obtain gauge.
Gauge:
26 sts and 32 rows = 4” / 10 cm worked in striped slip-stitch pattern
Construction Notes
Worked in the round from the cuff to the fingers. Edging around thumb worked last, on DPNs.
