Rio Calina Cowl
A spontaneously joyful knit, the Rio Calina Cowl combines ribbing and cables in a most delightful way. Knit flat with a short seam to form the cowl, this piece frames your neck in a warm and cuddly manner. The geometry of the seam creates a fold down edge that makes the cowl look more complex than it is.
A note about knitting. Directions are very straightforward and are really more of a recipe than a pattern. You will discover that you can modify this pattern for different yarn weights and different amounts of yarn quite readily.
Perhaps the most enchanting aspect of this cowl is that you knit it without being held accountable to specific cable counts and placements. Cat encourages you to be free and to follow the river as it takes you on this journey of delight.
This pattern is available free through Cat’s website. She has knit it with many of her traveling knitters’ groups and now offers it to all in hopes that she will see thousands of knitters finding their own journeys as she prepares for her journey to the next plane of existence. Scroll down about halfway to find a hypertext link to the pattern in the middle of the story.
