Rippling Arctic is a simple cowl crocheted in the round. The main stitch pattern only uses two of the most basic crochet stitches: single crochet and chains. The Tunisian crochet ribbing is worked around each opening of the cowl with a regular crochet hook (no special Tunisian hook required).

Materials:

• Sock by Malabrigo, Light Fingering/3 ply, 100% merino, 440yd (402m) per 100g skein, shades 063 Natural (С1), 474 Caribeno (С2), 1 skein each
• Crochet hook: US G (4mm)
• Two stitch markers
• Yarn needle to weave in ends

Gauge:

• 5 ch-5 sps and 24 rows = 4” (10cm) x 4” (10cm)

Gauge is not crucial for this design. The measurements listed are guidelines.

The size of the cowl can be adjusted by using thinner/thicker yarn or making a shorter/longer base row and working fewer/more row repeats.
