Riptide Rebel, an Asymmetrical Chevron Shawl Knitting Pattern by Christine Long Derks, the TreasureGoddess!

Riptide Rebel is an asymmetrical shawl knit with four skeins of DK yarn. Recommended yarn is TreasureGoddess Yak Silk DK Treasures, a 100% superwash merino wool yarn with fantastic squoosh & drape. This shawl is super fun to knit and super fun to wear! Looks best when draped around the neck & shoulders. Fabulous!

Pattern is knit with simple stitches, knit, knit 2 together, SSK and make 1. NO PURLING! Woo Hoo! Garter stitch makes for a super squooshy and warm shawl.

Originally this pattern was written for DK Treasures Yarn, but it’s been updated to knit with Yak Silk DK Treasures for a true luxurious experience.

Colorways in featured shawl are Song of the Sirens (wine), From the Depths She Rose(pink), Far Horizon (blue) and Sandy Shores (gray/taupe).

Needle size: US 8 (5 metric).
