El Chal Rivendel está inspirado en la ciudad de Rivendel del mundo ficticio de El Señor de los Anillos creado por el escritor británico J.R.R. Tolkien. En este mundo mágico, Rivendel es la ciudad de los elfos, seres de una belleza extraordinaria que viven en perfecta comunión con la naturaleza. En Rivendel, no se sabe dónde acaba la arquitectura y dónde empieza la vegetación. Es todo armonía, serenidad, paz, delicadeza y cuidado por el detalle.

Este chal es triangular asimétrico y consta de dos secciones. La primera está formada por una serie de columnas con rosetones que, en la segunda, se cierran en una serie de arcos y cúpulas, todo hecho con puntos retorcidos y calados.

HILADO
2 madejas de cualquier hilado de grosor fingering (400 m/100 g).
Para la muestra se ha usado Mandrágora Yarns, base Pixie (75% merino, 25% nylon).

MATERIALES

• Agujas circulares de 3,5 mm y cable de 80 cm.
• Marcadores.
• Aguja lanera.

The Rivendell Shawl is inspired by the magical city of Rivendell from the fictitious world of The Lord of the Rings created by British author J.R.R. Tolkein. In this magical world Rivendell is the city of elves, beings of extraordinary beauty that live in perfect communion with nature. In Rivendell you can’t tell where the buildings end and the vegetation begins. It is a place of total harmony, serenity, peace, delicacy, and attention to detail.

This is an asymmetrical triangular shawl that is made in two sections. The first is formed by a series of columns with rosettes which close in the second section in a series of arches and domes, all made using twisted stitches and eyelets.

YARN
2 skeins of any fingering weight yarn (400 m/100 g).
The sample was knited with Mandrágora Yarns, Pixie base (75% merino, 25% nylon).

MATERIALS

• Stitch markers.
• Tapestry needle.
