5 (6, 6, 6, 7)(7, 7, 8, 8, 9) skeins of Natural Cotton Merino Gregoria Fibers (50g = 180 yards/165 m) (70% cotton, 30% merino).
4 (5, 5, 6, 6) (7, 7, 7, 7, 8) skeins of Kidsilk Lace Gregoria Fibers (25g = 230 yards/ 210 m) (73% superkid mohair, 27% silk).
The vest is worked by holding two strands of yarn together (one of Kidsilk Lace and one of Natural Cotton Merino).
For the sample we used one strand of our colourway “Mauve” of Kidsilk Lace and one strand of our colourway “Chocolate” of Natural Cotton Merino.
Alternative yarn ( grey version):
Same yardage Como tweed (25g = 131 yards/120 m) (100% merino) together with Premia (25g = 328yards/ 300 m) (60% superkid mohair, 40% silk) both by Lamana (one strand of each).
NEEDLES
4 mm / US 6 circular needles, cable length 80 or 100 cm / 32 or 40” in pattern stitch.
3 mm / US 2.5 circular needles, cable length 40 or 60 cm / 16 or 24” for the ribbing.
GAUGE
20 stitches x 32 rounds = 10 cm / 4” on 4 mm / US 6 needles in pattern stitch.

This vest is designed to be worn with approximately 10-11 cm / 4-4.2” of positive ease at bust.
