Clarification (not errata) for patterns purchased before 11/18/10:
Yes you are knitting onto the flap you just creating by casting on 20 sts. I have been told that it is easier to use a third needle like a dpn or a straight needle at this point. Rephrasing of row 2 of brim as follows: W/yf, sl p.wise, yb, k19, turn work (you should have worked a total of 20 sts). Repeat rows 1-2 until only 20 sts remain.

Finished Measurements:
Circumference: 21 1?2”
Length: 11 1?2”

Size 8 U.S. (5 mm) double point needles
Size 8 U.S. (5 mm) 16” circular needles
Size 7 U.S. (4.5 mm) 16” circular needles
One locking stitch marker

3 hanks of the Fibre Co. Road to China, (65% alpaca, 15% silk, 10% camel, 10% cashmere, 69 yards), shown in Aquama- rine and Malachite.
Approximately 175 of an aran weight yarn will work.
