The two-layer cuff of this sock is single-stranded. The rest of the sock is worked double-stranded, and the fabric is one layer. This all evens out to make a boot-like sock ideal for keeping your feet toasty in the winter, in the house or, if you have roomy shoes, outside as well.

An “elf toe” variation is included as well, with a playful loop at the toe.
