The robot apocalypse has never looked so appealing. Prepare your kitchen for our robot overlords with this double-sided tapestry crochet potholder. It’s cute and definitely functional--crocheted at a tight gauge in 100% cotton yarn, and it’ll be a workhorse.

This pattern is also a great stashbuster--it only takes about 70 yards (65 meters) of each main color, plus 10 yards of a third color for the border. Gauge is unimportant as long as the fabric produced is sufficiently tight.

This pattern is suitable for advanced beginners. Chains, single crochet, and slip stitch are the only stitches used, but a familiarity with tapestry crochet color changes is recommended. The pattern includes basic written instructions and the robot is fully charted.
